The M.A. program features a flexible 30 credit hour program of study that takes into account research in social studies education, extensive graduate course offerings at the University of Georgia, and individual student interests. The M.A. degree culminates with a thesis. Individuals who plan to pursue graduate work beyond the Master's degree, who are interested in conducting independent research, and who can take most or all of their coursework in continuous residence are encouraged to consider the M.A. program. Entrance requirements minimums are a 2.8 undergraduate GPA, a total combined GRE score of 850, and an analytical writing score of 4.5. For full consideration, applicants should apply by March 1 to be admitted for summer or fall semesters, and December 1 to be admitted for spring semester. If space is available, faculty will consider applications after the deadline. | ||
