The Athens program is a research-oriented M.Ed. degree track designed for master’s-level students who would like to eventually apply for a doctoral degree.

The Gwinnett program offers two areas of emphasis. The Instructional Design & Development emphasis area in Learning, Design, and Technology (formerly known as “Instructional Technology”) provides students with knowledge of cutting-edge computer and multimedia technology
and its application in diverse educational contexts, such as K-12 education, higher education, and training situations in business and industry.

The School Library Media emphasis area within the Learning, Design, and Technology Program (also on the Gwinnett campus) provides individuals with professional level skills in the organization and application of resources to the solution of instructional problems within schools. This program is approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission to provide S5 certification for K-12 Library Media Specialists.
