The increasingly complex relationship of engineered systems and the environment has generated the need for engineers to better understand the interconnectedness of natural resources with people and the socio-economic system. The M.S. degree provides a broad-based engineering education; students learn to integrate knowledge from several disciplines and gain skills in problem definition as well as use of advanced techniques of data analysis and presentation of original research results. The degree requires twenty-four semester hours of course work and six hours of thesis research. | ||
