The following terminology is used in this section and holds the meaning described below:
Academic Transcript: Official records of courses, credit, and grades earned while studying at the college, university or educational institution. The academic transcript or record is issued by the institution. Some academic transcripts also indicate clearly the academic degree earned and date that the degree was awarded. If they do not have official information about the academic degree that has been conferred, a separate proof of degree is required. (see Tip Sheet)
Proof of Degree: The official academic record of the institution that clearly indicates the academic degree that has been earned along with date conferred. This document displays the student’s name, as well. (see Tip Sheet)
Recognized Institution: Higher-level educational institution that is recognized in the country by the appropriate government agency or accrediting agency as is approved to award degrees.
Issuing Institution: This terminology means that the records must show that they were prepared by the educational institution where the degree and coursework were earned.
Certification versus Notarization: Certification means that a representative of the educational institution is authorized by the institution to certify/approve copies of academic records as being official and true. Notarization is not adequate for admission purposes because the individual notary is usually a private entity, not an official representative of the institution. Note: Notarized copies are not considered official academic records. Please do not submit your original proof of degree, as we cannot return it to you.
Documents must be submitted in both Spanish and English. Spanish documents must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution. English translations must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
An official copy of the Licenciado or Título, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution. An English translation is required and must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
Licenciado or Título from a recognized institution.
Required.
If submitting the TOEFL: a minimum score of 213 (computer-based) or 550 (paper-based) or overall score of 80 with at least 20 on speaking and writing (internet-based).
If submitting the IELTS: a minimum overall band-width of 6.5, with no single band (score) below 6.0.
Note: Notarized copies are not considered official academic records. Please do not submit your original proof of degree, as we cannot return it to you.

A 4-5 year Diplom from a recognized institution.
Documents must either arrive in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution or be stamped and laminated by the issuing institution.
Proof of degree conferred and date must be clearly indicated on the transcript or an official copy of the diploma, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution, must be provided.
A four-year bachelor’s degree, bachelor’s with honor degree, or a three-year bachelor’s degree with a one-year postgraduate diploma from a recognized institution.

LA bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in English. They (each page) must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution.
The degree certificate must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution.
A Bangladesh master’s degree or a minimum of four-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in both original language (Dutch or French) and English. Original language documents must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution. English translations must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
An official copy of the Belgium diploma, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution. An English translation is required and it must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
Licence or similar 2nd cycle degree from a recognized institution.
Documents must arrive in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution.
The degree conferred and date should be clearly indicated on the transcript or an official copy of the diploma, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution.
A four-year bachelor’s degree from the University of Belize.
Documents must be submitted in both original language (Croatian or Serbian) and English. Croatian or Serbian documents must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution. English translations must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
An official copy of the diploma in Croatian or Serbian. It must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution. English translation is required and must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
Diploma Visokog Obrazovanja (Advanced Diploma of Higher Education) of at least 4 years from a recognized institution.
An official copy of the diploma, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution.
A four-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in both Portuguese and English. Portuguese documents must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution. English translations must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
Documents must be submitted in both Bulgarian and English. Bulgarian documents must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution. English translation must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
An official copy of the Bakalavr, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution. The English translation is required and must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
Bakalavr from a recognized institution.
Documents, in a sealed envelope, must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution. French documents must be translated into English. English translations must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
Proof of degree conferred and date must be clearly indicated on the transcript or an official copy of the diploma, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution, must be provided. French documents must be translated into English. English translation is required and must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
A bachelor’s degree or licence from a recognized institution.
* TOFEL may be waived upon receipt from the institution registrar’s office indicating the medium of instruction is in English.
Documents must arrive in a sealed envelope form the issuing institution. (Institutions from Quebec must submit documents in French and English.)

Documents must be submitted in both Chinese and English translation. The institution must issue both documents and they (each page) must bear the original red ink stamp or steel seal of the issuing institution.
Graduation certificate must be in Chinese and English translation. They (each page) must bear the original red ink stamp or steel seal of the issuing institution.
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
An official copy of the Licenciado or Título, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution. English translation is required and must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.

Licenciado or Título from a recognized institution-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.

Bachelor’s degree plus completion of first year of Kandidatgrad/Candidatus. If you do not hold a bachelor’s degree, then completion of Kandidatgrad/Candidatus from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in English. It must bear the original stamp/seal from the issuing institution.
A minimum of 4-year Baccalaureos from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in both Finnish and English. Finnish documents must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution. English translations must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
A 3-year bachelor’s degree and completion of first year of master’s study. Finnish documents must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution. English translation is required and must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
Bachelor’s degree plus completion of first year of master’s program from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in both French and English. French documents must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution. English translations must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.

A Maitrise from a recognized institution.

Vordiplom + 2 semesters for eligibility. German documents must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution. English translation is required and must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
Vordiplom + 2 semesters from a recognized institution.
Documents must arrive in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution. Documents must be submitted in English.
A bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.

A four-year Ptychion from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in English and they must arrive in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution.
All documents (each page) must bear the original attestation of the issuing institution. Marksheets must list the name of the course. Students must supply course syllabus for marksheets without name of the course (paper 1, paper 2 and so on) and the issuing institution must attest them.
Degree certificate must be attested by the issuing institution.
A three-year bachelor’s degree is not equivalent to the U.S. bachelor’s degree. A four-year bachelor’s degree, a three-year bachelor’s plus a master’s degree, or a three-year bachelor’s plus completion of first year of the master’s program from a recognized institution by the Association of Indian University (AIU) or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Documents must arrive in a sealed envelope. Documents must be certified by the issuing institution, the U.S. Embassy, the U.S. International Communication Agency (ICA) or the Agency for International Development (AID).

A four-year Sarjana from a recognized institution.
A four-year bachelor or a bachelor’s with honours degree from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in both Hebrew and English. Hebrew documents must bear the original institution stamp. The English translations must bear the original institution stamp or the original stamp/signature of the certified translator.
An official copy of the bachelor’s degree, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution. English translation is required and must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
Documents must be submitted in both Italian and English. Italian documents must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution. English translations must bear the original stamp/seal of the issuing institution or the original stamp/credential of the certified translator.
Proof of degree conferred and date must be clearly indicated on the transcript or an official copy of the diploma, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution, must be provided. Laurea from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in English. Documents must arrive in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution.
Proof of degree conferred and date must be clearly indicated on the transcript or an official Certificate of Graduation from an issuing institution, must be provided.
Documents must arrive in a sealed envelope directly from the issuing institution.
A bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution. The Higher National Diploma (HND) is not equivalent to the U.S. bachelor’s degree.
All documents (each page) must bear the original attestation of the issuing institution.
An official copy of the degree certificate, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution.
A master’s degree or a professional bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution. Minimum length of study must be 4 years.
Bachiller, Licenciatura or Título from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in English and come in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution.
Documents must be submitted in both Polish and English. The Polish documents must bear the original institution stamp. The English translations must bear the original institution stamp or the original stamp/signature of the certified translator.
An official copy of the Dyplom, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution. The English translation is required and must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/signature of the certified translator.
Magister from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in both Romanian and English. The Romanian documents must bear the original institution stamp. The English translations must bear the original institution stamp or the original stamp/signature of the certified translator.
An official copy of the Licenta, which bears the original stamp of the issuing institution. The English translation is required and must bear the original stamp of the issuing institution or the original stamp/signature of the certified translator.
Licenta (Diplom) from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in both Russian and English. Russian documents must bear the original institution stamp. The English translations must bear the original institution stamp or the original stamp/signature of the certified translator.
4-5 year Diplom from a recognized institution.
4-year bachelor’s degree or 3-year bachelor’s plus 1 year postgraduate diploma from a recognized institution.
Documents must be submitted in both Spanish and English. The Spanish documents must bear the original institution stamp. The English translations must bear the original institution stamp or the original stamp/signature of the certified translator.
Documents must be submitted in English. They must arrive in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution. Transcripts must bear numerical grades in order to be considered official.

Lisans or bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.

It should be clearly indicated on the transcript or presented in the form of a certified copy of the diploma.
A 4-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
