Doctoral candidate studies Cherokee cultural identity through native American theatre and drama


Adron Farris, a doctoral candidate in the Department of Theatre and Film Studies, researches Native American theatre and drama and the idea of cultural identity that has been expressed through the performance of well-known outdoor dramas.

Farris is exploring two well-known Cherokee outdoor dramas and tracing the dramas’ various revisions in order to show how the Cherokee are reclaiming their cultural identity through theatre and drama. >>> More

UGA’s new student information system Athena preparing to launch

Athena, a new student information system that will replace OASIS, is preparing to launch for fall 2014 enrollment. Once fully launched, Athena will allow students to easily access academic and financial aid records, register for classes, pay tuition and fees, and update personal information, all in one location.

Free Microsoft Products available to UGA Students

UGA students how have free access to full versions of Microsoft Office products through the Student Advantage program. Students may download and install the latest, full version of Office 365 ProPlus on up to five of their personal devices (computers, tablets or phones) with Windows or Mac operating systems.
